Devil May Cry Playstation anime

An anime-turned game.

One fruitful game rental of Devil May Cry in early 2000 spun me around and then marched me forward in a straight line to follow as this series grew in popularity. Sequels came out and I always wondered if an anime would be aired someday.

Come 2007 when the anime would be live. The game is about supernatural hunter Dante who takes on the odd job of exterminating evil entities of the demon variety with style. The storyline isn't abundantly complex so many episodes in the anime are standalone.

Cool enough, Reuben Langdon, English voice actor and motion capture actor of Dante from DMC3 and 4 voiced his character in the show. Toshiyuki Morikawa voices the Japanese side. I was used to hearing him as the enigmatic Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children movie, so to hear this guy let loose as the wise-cracking Dante got me chuckling at times.
