Having jumped on the vampire bandwagon while watching the Buffy and Angel series during their original airings, it wasn't much of a surprise that I gravitated to Vampire Knight. The art is sublime and in the anime version the music is reminiscent to the Castlevania games which is always a plus. The story is complex, too. A bit of regalness, some lightness, and of course, angst. What vampire story can be told without some heart-breaking moments?
